Seven Metallica films are heading to The Coda Collection, becoming available to stream for the first time.
The release of live-performance and documentary films begins today with Cunning Stunts and Orgullo Pasión y Gloria: Tres Noches en la Ciudad de México.
The Coda Collection will release two anniversary concerts filmed at San Francisco’s Chase Center, Metallica 40th Anniversary LIVE, on 3/31 and 4/7. They present “two unique set lists featuring live firsts and deep cuts that chronologically explore the earliest era of the band through present day during night one and then in reverse order on night two.” The two showcase new edits and audio mixes (relative to the concerts presented live on Coda in December).
The 1992 documentary A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica, which chronicles the creation of the band’s self-titled fifth studio album, makes its streaming debut 4/21. Quebec Magnetic, the concert film shot at Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City during the 2009 World Magnetic Tour, debuts 5/19. Français Pour Une Nuit, another performance film from 2009, shot in Nîmes, France, begins streaming 6/9.
The Coda Collection is available via Amazon Prime Video.
