TAYLOR TEASES "CAROLINA"

Republic’s Taylor Swift has teased her new original song, “Carolina,” in the trailer for Where the Crawdads Sing, the upcoming film based on Delia Owens’ best-selling 2018 novel of the same name. We thank Sony Pictures goddess Spring Aspers for tipping us to the sneak peak.

Produced by Aaron Dessner, "Carolina" is the first new material from Swift since 2020’s evermore. She rolled out re-recorded, "Taylor’s Version” editions of Fearless and Red last year and recently appeared on Ed Sheeran’s “The Joker and the Queen.”

Swift said on Instagram: “As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side. I wrote the song ‘Carolina’ alone and asked my friend @aarondessner to produce it. I wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerizing story."
