Primary Wave Music has acquired a stake in Martina McBride’s royalties, which spans her first 10 albums on Sony and the copyrights for 2014’s Everlasting and 2018’s It’s the Holiday Season.
The deal encompasses songs like McBride’s first #1 “Wild Angels,” as well as chart topper “A Broken Wing,” Top 5 hit “This One’s for the Girls” and “Independence Day,” as well as gives the Country star access to Primary Wave’s marketing, digital and branding teams and publishing infrastructure, which includes licensing and sync opportunities.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to work with Martina and the catalog of incredible songs she has built throughout her career,” said Dominic Pandiscia, Chief Strategy Officer, Gaither Music Group & Primary Wave Business Development.
Throughout her career, the multiple Grammy nominee has sold 23m+ albums—which includes 20 Top 10 singles and six #1s—and earned more than 15 music awards from the CMAs, the ACMs and more. She’s also been awarded with 14 gold, nine platinum, three double platinum and two triple platinum certifications.
McBride was represented in the deal by attorney Jess L. Rosen of Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
