TIKTOK LAUNCHES MARKETING & DISTRO ARM SOUNDON

TikTok has announced the launch of SoundOn, an all-in-one music marketing and distribution platform designed to empower undiscovered artists and get their music heard worldwide.

It will allow them to upload their work directly to TikTok and begin earning royalties when that music is used. SoundOn will pay out 100% of royalties to music creators in the first year and 90% after that and provide a range of promotional tools and support.

Also offered: audience insight and development, advice from the SoundOn artist team, access to TikTok's song tab, where music is linked to profile pages, and promotional support through creator marketing on the TikTok platform.

Artists using SoundOn can also distribute to other music platforms.

Following a period of beta testing, SoundOn is now fully operational in the U.S., U.K., Brazil and Indonesia.

Said Ole Obermann, Global Head of Music at TikTok: “Our SoundOn teams will guide creators on their journey to the big stage and bring the expertise and power of TikTok to life. We're incredibly excited about how this will surface and propel new talent and how SoundOn will contribute to an increasingly diverse and growing global music industry.”

Rising American acts Muni Long and Games We Play and Brits Abby Roberts and Chloe Adams were among the first creators to successfully use SoundOn.
