Stereophonics look set to claim their eighth #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart on Friday. Over on singles, Dave is on track to dethrone Encanto from the top spot.
With Oochya! (Ignition), Stereophonics is outselling its closest competition by almost 2 to 1. The set is one of three new entries in today’s midweek Top 5.
Marillion’s An Hour Before It’s Dark (Ear Music) sits at #2, while a 20th anniversary remastered edition of The Coral’s self-titled debut (Run On) has re-entered the chart at #3.
Swedish heavy-metal group Sabaton starts at #6 with The War to End All Wars (Nuclear Blast), Kris Barras Band’s Death Valley Paradise (Mascot) is #8 and Kojey Radical is #9 with his debut, Reason to Smile (Warner Music U.K.).
On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek chart, Dave’s “Starlight” (NBR) is currently leading the pack. Should the track maintain its position until Friday, it will be the British rapper’s second chart-topper.
Luude’s “Down Under” (Warner Records U.K.) could crack the Top 5 for the first time after moving up one to #5, while Jax Jones and MNEK could break into the Top 10, with “Where Did You Go” (Polydor) rising four places to #7.
Encanto’s reigning #1, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney), follows at #9. This week’s second-highest new entry could go to Arrdee’s “Come & Go” (Island), which is set to debut at #14.
