To celebrate their throwback Mixtape Tour, New Kids on the Block have recreated some vintage videos in the clip for their new song “Bring Back the Time," co-written by Donnie Wahlberg and Lars Jensen and featuring En Vogue, Rick Astley and Salt-N-Pepa, who are also on the tour.
The “Bring Back the Time" video harks back to the ’80s heyday of NKOTB and their tourmates with tributes to Twisted Sister, Robert Palmer, Billy Idol, Madonna and other stalwarts of the period. They even salute the cool kids, Devo and Talking Heads.
For anyone who spent hours glued to MTV grooving to Journey’s “Separate Ways,” Duran Duran’s “Rio” and Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” or debated who had better hair, Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood or Mark Goodman, this video is for you.
