WET LEG'S ON SPOTIFY'S RADAR

Spotify has tapped Domino’s Wet Leg as its next RADAR U.K. act. As part of the campaign, Wet Leg will roll out a mini video series, Searching for Mop Man, ahead of their self-titled debut album on 4/8.

The mockumentary series showcases Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers’ sense of humour as they dive into the origins of Mop Man—a mythical being from the Isle of Wight—and gives fans a deeper look at the girls’ creative vision. The first episode is available on Instagram and Spotify’s RADAR: First Listen playlist with new episodes dropping weekly.

Wet Leg first made waves in 2021 with their breakout track “Chaise Longue,” which has 10m+ streams on Spotify alone and features Mean Girls-inspired lyrics as well as an amusing self-directed video before following up with tracks like “Wet Dream” and “Too Late Now.”

With 1.1m+ monthly listeners and placements on more than 100k user-generated playlists globally, the pair’s top cities—outside of London—include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and L.A.

“Who would have thunk it, that we’d be one of Spotify’s U.K. RADAR artists,” said Wet Leg. “Wow - let’s party like it’s 1999. Thank you for your support big time. wetties x.”

“The level of excitement and energy around Wet Leg is a really special thing, and not at all surprising given their originality and off-beat vibes. Everything they turn their hand to has its own quirk and flair - as you can see with Searching for Mop Man! We’re confident that the RADAR programme of support we put together with them will be no different,” added Tom Connaughton, Managing Director, Spotify UK/IE.

Wet Leg joins PinkPantheress, Central Cee, Joy Crookes and Griff, among others, in the RADAR U.K. pantheon.
