Rising roots star Zach Bryan has settled into his viral launch. The first track from the former Navy officer's forthcoming studio debut, American Heartbreak (Warner), soared to #1 country at Apple Music its opening weekend. "From Austin" was the second-biggest debut at Spotify U.S. on Friday, opening at #38.
Since going viral in 2019 performing original songs from an Airbnb while on active duty, Bryan has gotten big looks and achieved chart milestones remarkably early in his career. He's become a TikTok favorite among country fans, with multiple contributions generating more than a million videos and 700k users converted to followers.
Bryan has also landed two major syncs in Paramount's massive Yellowstone; "Condemned" was used at the closing of season 3, episode 2, and "Flying or Crying" could be heard in the most recent season's fifth episode.
And even before releasing his major-label debut, Bryan has already collaborated with genre-leading producer Dave Cobb. Listen to "From Austin" below.
