H.E.R., Moneybagg Yo, Ari Lennox, Lizzo and Big Sean performed Wednesday at the second annual iHeartRadio Living Black! event, held at the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles (in beautiful downtown Burbank) and at Black-owned businesses across the country.
Donnell Rawlings was the host of the event celebrating Black culture and its impact in America, which also featured appearances by the likes of J. Cole, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Saweetie, Lil Nas X and Mary J. Blige. It was streamed live on TikTok and broadcast on iHeartMedia’s hip-hop and R&B stations and will be available via iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages starting at 8pm ET today and running through 3/6.
H.E.R. captivated the crowd with "Damage" and "Best Part"; Lennox performed "Pressure" and "Shea Butter Baby" at I LOVE LULU, a hair salon in Los Angeles; and Moneybagg Yo performed at a club in Memphis.
Lizzo spoke about the importance of humanitarianism; "It feels so good to help others, now more than ever,” she said. "Not only can I give but hopefully, I can inspire others. Giving don't gotta be holding a huge Juneteenth fundraiser; it can be seeing somebody who's hungry and buying them a meal. That's where the humanitarianism begins.”
