U.K. MIDWEEKS: SEA POWER RIDES A WAVE

Sea Power could claim its first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart on Friday with Everything Was Forever (Golden Chariot). Over on singles, Mimi Webb has the highest new entry at today’s halfway point.

Everything Was Forever is the eighth album from the band formerly known as British Sea Power. It leads today on physical copies, though with just 1k in sales separating the Top 5, the #1 spot is in play.

Ed Sheeran’s = (Atlantic) is a close second, followed by As I Try Not to Fall Apart (PIAS) from London rock act White Lies at #3.

Bad Boy Chiller Crew starts at #4 with its new mixtape, Disrespectful (Relentless), and Metronomy’s Small World (Because Music) is #5.

ArchitectsLive at the Royal Albert Hall (Epitaph) opens at #7 and Texas Moon (Columbia) by Khruangbin and Leon Bridges enters at #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Webb is new at #6 with what could be her second Top 10 hit, “House on Fire” (Epic).

Encanto is on course for a sixth week at #1 with “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney). “Surface Pressure,” also from the soundtrack, has moved up two places to #2 and “The Family Madrigal” is up one to #7.

“Make Me Feel Good” (Polydor) by Belters Only f/Jazzy is up three to #4, while a new remix of Sheeran’s “Bad Habits,” featuring BRITs performance collaborators Bring Me the Horizon, sends the track back into the Top 10, at #9.

Jax Jones and MNEK could claim this week’s highest climber, with “Where Did You Go?” (Polydor) jumping 15 places to #15.
