Three new hip-hop jams from Universal Music labels have caught the attention of Shazam users in the U.S., while a tribute to ‘80s Eurodance is getting thumbs wagging in Blighty.
Nicki Minaj & Lil Baby’s chart-climber “Do We Have a Problem?” (Republic) is the week’s biggest mover on the Shazam USA Top 100, followed by 50 Cent’s theme for Power Book IV: Force, “Power Powder Respect” (G-Unit), and the YG, J. Cole & Moneybagg Yo collab, “Scared Money” (Def Jam).
We get out first Shazam hit from the Winter Olympics: Govardo’s folky cover of Lennon & McCartney’s “The Long and Winding Road” (Dom Sky and Jack Rose) that Canadian figure skaters Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier used during their ice-dancing routine. “Playboy” (772428 Records) from indie rapper Jx.Zero is a TikTok hit.
In the U.K., Jax Jones f/MNEK’s “Where Did You Go?” is leading the way, while an Airbnb ad has Jay-Z & Beyonce’s “03 Bonnie & Clyde” vacationing in the penthouse of the U.K.’s biggest movers chart.
