Elliot Grainge has officially announced that Homemade Projects founders Zach Friedman and Tony Talamo are joining 10K Projects as Co-Presidents. As previously rumored, 10K has acquired the Homemade label.
Friedman and Talamo, who will report directly to Grainge, will oversee day-to-day operations, including A&R, marketing, publicity and creative functions.
The deal sees an investment by Grainge into Homemade Projects’ other verticals, including its digital marketing agency—which has played a critical role in breaking songs and developing artists on the 10K roster, as well as Homemade’s own roster, including Peach Tree Rascals, COIN, Salem Ilese and WizTheMc—its influencer/talent-management agency and its merchandise operation.
“Zach and Tony have built Homemade Projects into an independent powerhouse in an incredibly short period of time,” said Grainge. “Having them run the day-to-day operations of 10K is something that will help us continue to grow the label without breaking stride.”
Grainge's 10K Projects, which is distributed by UMG's indie-distro division, Virgin Music, has launched the careers of iann dior, Internet Money, Trippie Redd, 6ix9ine and Surfaces. To celebrate the occasion, the company is giving away free face tattoos.
