U.K. CHARTS: DON BROCO DONS A #1

Bedford band Don Broco has secured its first U.K. Official Albums #1 following the physical release of Amazing Things (Sharptone). Over on singles, Encanto becomes the first soundtrack to have three simultaneous Top 10 tracks.

Amazing Things, which arrived digitally in October, scored the top spot this week with 98% physical sales. The set was just 1.5k in sales ahead of The Weeknd’s Dawn FM (Island), which settles for second place today following its own physical release.

Liverpool singer/songwriter Jamie Webster has the most-downloaded album of the week with his second set, Moments (Modern Sky), at #3. Welsh act Scarlet Rebels See Through Blue (Earache) is also new, at #7, while Jethro Tull claims its first U.K. Top 10 since the 1972 compilation Living in the Past with The Zealot Gene (Century Media), at #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (Walt Disney) from Encanto has a third consecutive week at #1. As one of three entries from the film in today’s Top 10, Encanto has claimed another record—the ST also boasts the first original Disney song to hit #1. The other two tracks are “Surface Pressure” by Jessica Darrow at #4 and “The Family Madrigal” f/Stephanie Beatriz and Olga Merediz, which has jumped four places to #7.

Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran’s “Peru” (Island) is #2, followed by GAYLE’s “abcdefu” (Atlantic) at #3.

Elsewhere in today’s Top 10, Lost Frequencies and Calum Scott’s “Where Are You Now” (Insanity) is up two to a new peak of #5 as D-Block Europe and Central Cee jump two places to #6 with the self-released “Overseas.”

Irish DJ duo Belters Only gains its first Top 10 single, with “Make Me Feel Good” f/Jazzy (Polydor) vaulting four to #9. Australian DJ Luude also secures his first U.K. Top 10 entry, with “Down Under” f/Colin Hay (Sweat It Out) at #10.
