Dolly Parton will host the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, which Amazon Prime Video will stream live from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on 3/7.
Nominations for this year’s awards will be announced next week. Parton's co-hosts will be revealed at a later date.
Parton—who’s on the just-announced ballot for the 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame—has a new album, Run, Rose, Run (Butterfly), coming out on 3/4 in conjunction with her novel of the same name, written with James Patterson, which will be published on 3/7.
Said ACM CEO Damon Whiteside, “We are proud that Dolly is a friend and supporter of the Academy, a previous host and a 13-time Academy of Country Music Award recipient. There is no one better than Dolly to represent the ACM Awards brand and country music on a global scale as we move to streaming and show the world that ‘this is how we country’ by delivering one of the most exhilarating and innovative shows in our history.”
Parton was host of the ACM Awards once before, in 2000, when she did it solo.
