YMU NAMES POPHAL HEAD OF WEB3 & NFT FOR U.S. MUSIC

Management firm YMU has appointed Brad Pophal Head of Web3 and NFT for U.S. Music.

Based in L.A., Pophal will develop and bolster Web3 strategies and initiatives for the company’s clients through NFTs, the metaverse and a range of partnerships. He will report jointly to YMU Global President of Music Matt Colon and MD U.S. Music Anthony Rodol.

Pophal previously worked as an agent at CAA, repping Iration, Monolink and Giolì & Assia, among others.

Said Colon, “Brad brings both knowledge and experience in the traditional music space as well as a deep understanding of NFTs, Web3 and blockchain."

Said Pophal, “YMU has always been an industry leader and a true pioneer in the Web3 and NFT spaces. I couldn’t be happier to join the team to help build on this momentum."

YMU’s music roster includes Steve Aoki, Travis Barker, 3LAU, RAC and The Glitch Mob, some of whom have already enjoyed success with NFT collections. Last year, the company launched its YMU Arts division, representing visual artists like Mike Parisella, aka Slimesunday, who recently partnered with Playboy and artist Krista Kim. Kim landed a landmark sale of $500k+ for her project Mars House. YMU generated $30m+ in sales last year with several record-breaking NFT drops, participating in auctions via Sotheby’s, Christies and Phillips.
