Kristina “Red” Tanner has been promoted to Partner at Activist Artists Management, joining Bernie Cahill, Greg Suess, Matt Maher, Liz Norris, Caitlin Stone and Tony Khan.
In addition, Chris Ruff has been named Head of Global Marketing. Ruff will operate from New York. Tanner will remain in Atlanta.
Tanner joined the Activist team as a manager in 2010 and subsequently launched Activist’s Ticketing, Commerce and Sustainability Department. An authority on producing and executing special events and festivals, Tanner works with Activist's clients to neutralize the carbon emissions of tours, offices and travel.
“Red has worked with great heart and vision during her time at Activist,” said Founding Partner Maher. “This promotion is an endorsement of that effort and we look forward to seeing what extraordinary things she is capable of as Partner.”
In his newly created role, Ruff will oversee, design and implement global marketing campaigns, digital marketing and streaming initiatives for the Activist roster. He was previously Director, International, for Elektra Music Group.
“Chris joins us with an outstanding track record and creative spirit that makes him the perfect choice to head up our new Global Marketing division,” said Norris. “His dynamic leadership, innovative vision and commitment to nurturing talent will undoubtedly see Activist’s presence grow on the global stage.”
Activist clients include Dwight Yoakam, Bob Weir, the Grateful Dead, Dead & Company (co-managed by Azoff/Moir), The Lumineers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Alec Benjamin and Empire of the Sun.
