Sam Fender is the latest act added to the BRIT Awards lineup, while questions abound about how Adele, who is up for four awards, might take part following the controversy surrounding the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency.
Multiple-nominee Fender joins Dave, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Holly Humberstone, Liam Gallagher and Little Simz on the bill. His BRITs appearance will be followed by a U.K. arena tour in March and April, ahead of a milestone outdoor headlining show at London’s Finsbury Park in July.
Adele hadn't yet been announced as a performer, though The Sun reports that BRITs bosses confirmed she would take part in the show. She has now apparently pulled out. Whether she’ll make an appearance, virtually or in person, to accept any awards remains to be seen.
The BRIT Awards ceremony will take place 2/8 at London’s O2 Arena.
