CHART FINAL: MAGIC,
BATS AND MORE

Disney’s Encanto soundtrack repeats at #1 on the HITS Top 50, posting its biggest week yet with 115k. The album, powered by Top 10 streamers “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” “Surface Pressure” and “The Family Madrigal,” has topped the chart for three of the first four weeks of 2022. Encanto’s reach well exceeds that of most family films as its cultural influence galvanizes a massive audience on platforms from iTunes to TikTok. The soundtrack is 2022’s biggest album so far, with nearly 400k in activity YTD.

The top debut goes to YoungBoy Never Broke Again, with his mixtape Colors at #2, followed by Monument’s Walker Hayes, who cracks the Top 10 with Country Stuff: The Album. The new set is an update of the EP Country Stuff, with original cuts such as smash single “Fancy Like” joined by seven new songs.

After his death on 1/20, two Meat Loaf titles re-enter the chart at #13 and #15. His acclaimed debut, Bat Out of Hell (Cleveland International/Sony) leads, followed by Geffen’s 1993 sequel, Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, which boasted the comeback hit “I’d Do Anything for Love (but I Won’t Do That).”

Streeting this week are projects from NLE Ent./Warner’s NLE Choppa, Arista Nashville’s Morgan Wade, Freebandz/Epic’s Doe Boy, Mercury Nashville's Maddie & Tae and EMPIRE’s Babyface Ray.
