YE ANNOUNCES DONDA SEQUEL

Ye has announced the sequel to his latest full-length; Donda 2 will drop on 2/22. Produced by Future, the album is set to arrive six weeks before the mercurial artist headlines Coachella and a mere six months after its predecessor.

Adding to the chaos that's followed the artist formerly known as Kanye West in recent years: 2/22/22 is a Tuesday, which complicates the composition of its chart week (presumably Ye just couldn't resist all those twos). It's perhaps worth noting in this context that over the last half decade, nearly all of Ye's projects have missed their target release dates.

Donda debuted at #1 in early September. Nominated for Grammy Album of the Year, it set global streaming records in its first 24 hours.
