GLASS ANIMALS' NEVER-ENDING WAVE

Glass Animals are celebrating a historic run with their seemingly never-ending smash, "Heat Waves" (Polydor/Republic). Gary Spangler's promo team scored the track's first add at Alternative radio 80+ weeks ago—it went to #1 at Pop this week. The 11-month, one-week span from initial impact to chart-topper marks the longest path for a #1 in the Pop chart's history.

Adding to the song's storied trajectory, it finally topped Spotify's global chart this week, making it the first track by a U.K. band to do so. "Heat Waves," which has crossed 1b streams on the Spot, has also topped the U.S. daily chart.

Glass Animals are up for multiple BRIT Awards, including Song of the Year and Best Alternative Act.

To celebrate the slow-burning success of "Heat Waves," Spanky will be attending Grammy parties in a wetsuit.
