John Loken has joined The Recording Academy as Executive Vice President of Marketing, responsible for expanding the organization's reach and influence.
Reporting to Chief Operating Officer Branden Chapman, Loken will oversee creative services, brand communication, social media, email marketing, merchandising, analytics and advertising.
Loken was previously SVP of Consumer Marketing at Endeavor/IMG Events, where he helped reshape product, pricing and go-to-market strategy for more than 300 entertainment and sporting events. Prior to that he was EVP of Marketing & Distribution for Ticketmaster and the first SVP of Tour Marketing for Live Nation Concerts. He also worked in international product marketing at Warner Records and Motown Records.
