LIVE NATION AND MUSIC FORWARD FOUNDATION LAUNCH SCHOLARSHIPS

Live Nation has partnered with The Music Forward Foundation to launch college-scholarship programs for students pursuing music-industry careers.

Three $10k scholarships and two $5k scholarships will be awarded to students either in their junior or senior year and majoring in music business and/or related fields.

The scholarships include the Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship, the Tiffany Green Operator Scholarship, the Live Nation Scholarship and the Affinity Plus Scholarship, which was launched in partnership with the Affinity Plus Foundation.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by a panel of music-industry executives and other figures in the academic, entertainment, civic and corporate sectors. Criteria for selection include academic achievement, essay responses and recommendations. Recipients will be announced in June, with awards being bestowed for fall 2022.

Said Johnel Evans, Global Head of Diversity, Live Nation, “We are actively looking for ways we can diversify our talent pipeline and expand opportunities for youth who are interested in live music. These scholarships are just one way we can introduce live music as a career path, and our partnership with Music Forward supports the power and potential of the next generation of leaders.”

Added Music Forward Executive Director Nurit Smith, “Music Forward helps break the barriers of gender, race and poverty that prevent entry into the music industry. We are proud to offer these unique opportunities to inspire ambition and create momentum for young people pursuing industry careers.”

The 2022 application period is open from 1/17-3/31. To apply, click here. For more information on additional scholarships offered by the Music Forward Foundation, click here.
