IN A ROMAN MOOD

Backstage at iHeart's ALTer EGO fest, which boasted a mighty lineup of alternative and rock artists, on 1/15 at L.A.'s Fabulous Forum, Arista/Sony Latin's Italian breakouts Måneskin joined iHeart luminaries Tom Poleman, John Sykes and Marissa Morris for one of those indelible trade shots that says, "Fluorescent lighting is molto sexy." Seen just before Poleman searched frantically for the throwing-goat emoji on his phone are (l-r) Morris, drummer Ethan, singer Damiano, bassist Vic, guitarist Thomas, Poleman and Sykes. The group's "Beggin'" enjoyed a dominant run at #1 on Alternative radio and remains in the Top 5.

In other hard-rocking news, David Massey reportedly bit the head off a bat and then sent it back to the kitchen because it was underdone.

ALTer EGO's other amp-shredding topliners included All Time Low, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, twenty one pilots and WILLOW. The broadcast was heard on some 75 Alternative and Rock stations. LiveOne streamed the performances via livexlive.com.
