Industry vet Jed Weitzman has been named Head of Music by ticketing company Logitix. He will lead the charge to optimize ticket sales via the live-event specialist's proprietary pricing-and-distribution platform.
Before Logitix, Weitzman built B2B broker Ticket Evolution's music division, working on more than 60 major concert tours. He also happens to have overseen world tours and licensing deals for the likes of Prince, Billy Joel, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, James Taylor, Jane’s Addiction, Dave Matthews Band and Morrissey.
Weitzman started his career in television, lending his skills to Saturday Night Live and Late Night With Conan O’Brien before going on to manage Zach Galifianakis, Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell. So he knows from funny, which is why his appearance here makes him weep gently to himself.
