NETFLIX UNVEILS THREE-PART YE DOC

Netflix has revealed the dates of and unveiled a trailer for the documentary jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy; the first of three parts will stream globally on 2/16.

Boasting 20+ years of unreleased archival footage, the film will document Ye's life and career from 2002. Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah (aka Coodie & Chike) have, in fact, worked on the project—which features home video and other never-before-scene footage and provides unprecedented access to Ye—for decades.

The film is rumored to have been acquired for $30m. West, who's been tapped to headline Coachella 2022, was not involved in the finished product.

Iconic Events, distributor of David Byrne's American Utopia and Bo Burnham's Inside, will present the first chapter of jeen-yuhs in theaters on 2/10, a week before its Netflix premiere. Watch the trailer below.
