Parlophone signing PinkPantheress has been crowned winner of BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2022, with Wet Leg, Mimi Webb, Lola Young and Central Cee also making the Top 5.
PinkPantheress, a British singer and songwriter who combines garage, two-step, pop and alt rock, has enjoyed success on TikTok—she has more than 1m followers and 7.5m likes—with her tracks “Break It Off” and “Just for Me.” She’s also garnered a host of DSP and radio support, landing on the BBC Radio 1 A List and Brit List playlists. Her debut mixtape, To Hell With It, arrived in October, peaking at #20 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart.
