Streaming platform Audiomack is launching a feature called Supporters that allows fans to support artists directly.
Fans participate by purchasing badges for individual songs and albums. Once purchased, their contribution is seen on their Audiomack profile and the artist’s song or album page. Artists must apply for access to the Audiomack Monetization Program (AMP) or distribute their music to Audiomack through participating partners, including Warner Music Group, Amuse, AudioSalad Direct, DistroKid, EMPIRE, FUGA, Stem and Vydia.
“With Supporters, Audiomack is treating artists as they see themselves—as entrepreneurs building profitable careers,” said Audiomack Co-Founder and CEO Dave Macli. “Supporters creates new monetization opportunities for our creator community while bringing dedicated fans closer to the music and artists they love.”
“More than ever, there’s demand from fans who want to demonstrate their passion and support their favorite artists and from artists looking to better engage with their superfans,” reads a quote from WMG SVP Digital Strategy & Business Development Allan Coye. “Audiomack’s Supporters feature will help build these relationships and allow artists and fans to connect in meaningful new ways.”
