The Recording Academy updated the list of Grammy Awards nominations on Sunday. Losing nods in the category of Album of the Year are Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent, who were initially nominated for their credits on Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR; they are cited as co-writers of "deja vu."
By way of explanation, the Recording Academy stated: “During the submission process, the Academy received credits from the label for the track ‘deja vu.’ Last week, we received the correct credits from the label, which recognize Annie Clark (St. Vincent), Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift as songwriters of an interpolation on the track. In keeping with current Grammy guidelines, as songwriters of an interpolated track, Clark, Antonoff and Swift are not nominees in the Album of the Tear category for SOUR. Antonoff and Swift are nominated in the category for Swift’s album evermore.”
Among other changes to the nominations since they were officially announced on 11/23: Linda Chorney's "Bored" was added to the Best American Roots Song category and Marilyn Manson was removed from Best Rap Song (Kanye West f/Jay-Z's "Jail"). A raft of other corrections can be viewed here.
