IT'S EMMY SEASON
SoCal singer/songwriter Emmy Meli is the latest pop talent to go viral and immediately impact song charts. Freshly inked to Disruptor/Arista, she has triumphed with "I AM WOMAN," which exploded at TikTok before it was officially released. The anthem became the soundtrack to thousands of videos on the platform based on Meli's snippet teasing the hook, now up to 21m views.
Arista chief David Massey appears to be on a hot streak, with Meli's emergence following the breakout successes of Tai Verdes and Måneskin.
Meli's TikTok buzz paid off when the track was officially released on 11/19, reaching the iTunes Top 10 and being added to major playlists like Spotify's New Music Friday and Pop Rising. "I AM WOMAN" has since climbed to #78 on Spot U.S. and cracked the Top 200 at Apple Music.
Expect Meli's powerful single to soar back up the charts following busy weeks that included drops from Adele and Taylor Swift, not to mention a major holiday. The track has now logged more than 300k creations on TikTok and 7m streams on Spotify.
