Kanye West and Drake have settled their nearly half-decade-long beef for the Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert at L.A.'s Memorial Coliseum.
Billed as Ye w/special guest Drake, the show will take place 12/9 at the historic South Los Angeles stadium. The concert will be West's first official headlining gig in five years.
Ye and Drake's feud was well represented on Drake's 2018 Scorpion and 2021 Certified Lover Boy and Kanye's 2018 Ye and 2021 Donda. The tipping point was "The Story of Adidon," Pusha T's scorching 2018 freestyle diss track over the instrumental of Jay-Z's "The Story of O.J." "Adidon" revealed that Drake had a son. Pusha T is signed to and president of West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
With Drake manager J. Prince and Dave Chappelle mediating, Drake and West came together a week ago at the 6-God's compound in Toronto.
Said Ye: “I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride aside and come together.”
The concert aims to raise awareness for prison and sentencing reform, highlighting the six life sentences received by Hoover, notorious cofounder of Chicago's Gangster Disciples.
