BOWIE SONGS HEADING TO WARNER?

Warner Music is interested in purchasing David Bowie’s songwriting catalog, for approximately $200m, per a report in The Financial Times.

Warner is currently raising $535m through senior secured notes, which is said to be in support of the Bowie acquisition, among others, according to FT sources. First reported last month, the deal is said to be in “advanced talks.”

The acquisition would expand Warner’s relationship with the Bowie estate. In September, the company struck a deal for his 21st century works, giving it control from 2023 onward of all five decades of his recordings.
