QC Ventures, Quality Control's investment arm, has partnered with The Network Advisory (TNA) to launch VOCAL, a multi-platform podcast and audio-streaming network. The announcement was made Thursday by QC cofounders Kevin "Coach K" Lee and Pierre "P" Thomas, QC Films President Brian Sher and TNA founder/CEO Justin Giangrande.
Established to give creator clients an in-house distribution channel for their podcasts, VOCAL will occupy the intersection of music, sports, fashion and culture. It will further serve as a platform for talent outside the partners' client base, offering QC’s expertise and cultural imprint and TNA’s marketing and branding acumen.
“Quality Control has reached—and continues to succeed at—the highest levels in the new-media space,” said Coach K. “With the tremendous growth of podcasts, this was a clear next step for us and we are thrilled to be collaborating with like-minded partners.”
