Def Jam's Justin Bieber is teaming up with Wave for a virtual performance billed as An Interactive Experience. The 11/18, 6pm PT/9pm ET event will give fans a look into the metaverse, merging gaming, real-time motion capture and a live musical performance.
Wave’s technology will allow Bieber to transform himself into a digital avatar and do a full live show in the metaverse for the first time. Fans will see the Grammy contender perform songs from his #1 album Justice ahead of his 2022 world tour.
“I'm a big believer in Wave and love the platform as a new way for me to engage with my fans. I'm excited to be using this technology to bring people together and connect with fans from all over the world. I can't wait for them to check out this interactive performance," said Bieber.
Wave will roll out rebroadcasts of Justin Bieber–An Interactive Virtual Experience for fans worldwide on Wave.Watch and YouTube as follows:
We've never officially been to the metaverse, but we have visited Mario Kart's "Rainbow Road" after eating a few gummies.
