A Taylor Swift track from 2010 has exploded on DSPs over the last 48 hours; "Enchanted," from Speak Now (Big Machine), is currently #28 on Spotify U.S. and #1 on Apple Music's country chart (#44 Apple Music U.S.).
Fans are revisiting the song and creating TikTok videos for the dramatic bridge. The unofficial sound has generated 12k clips—the majority posted over the last few days.
It appears the surge in usage and streams is purely organic as Swift doesn't promote her Big Machine catalog. Similarly, 1989's "Wildest Dreams" trended on TikTok and crossed over to impact DSP charts in September. The savvy Swift noticed the activity and found the time—even while working on her epic, 30-track rerecording of Red—to recreate a one-off single, "Wildest Dreams–Taylor's Version."
Will she do the same with "Enchanted?" Swift is gearing up for a big week, with Red (TV) dropping and an SNL appearance.
.@taylorswift13’s “enchanted” continue to keep blowing up on TikTok, gaining massive 19,600(+117%) new videos yesterday.
