TRAVIS: WHAT NOW?

As we noted previously, in the wake of the crowd surge at Houston's Astroworld that resulted in eight deaths and multiple injuries, Travis Scott has dropped out of his 11/13 slot at the Day N Vegas festival and has pledged to refund all monies from the Astroworld event. Post Malone will take Scott's headlining spot at the AEG-presented Day N Vegas.

As for Scott, what happens from here is a big question. It's believed his new record is done; it was hitherto expected to drop next year ahead of his scheduled Coachella appearance. The issue of whether or not he will exit that festival as well is naturally the subject of much chatter at present.

We're also told that his current single, "Escape Plan" (a title that has become grimly ironic in light of recent events), is now on hold at all radio formats.

Stay tuned.
