SONY'S SHARE OF ALLMAN

Sony Music Publishing won’t keep us wondering: Jon Platt and team have a global agreement for the Gregg Allman catalog.

The deal covers many of Allman’s compositions from his time with the Allman Brothers Band and songs written throughout his enduring solo career.

Allman wrote several of the Brothers’ best-known songs, among them "Whipping Post,” "Melissa,” "Midnight Rider” and “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’.” His solo albums include Laid Back and I’m No Angel.

Sony Music Publishing President/Global Chief Marketing Officer Brian Monaco said, “Gregg Allman is without a doubt one of the greatest rock 'n' roll songwriters of all time. On behalf of all of us at Sony Music Publishing, we are honored to partner with his estate to support his incredible catalog and we look forward to creating new opportunities for his songs.”

“I look forward to bringing his music to new generations of fans and inspiring audiences around the world,” said the Greg Allman estate’s Michael Lehman.
