David Bowie pop-up stores open today in New York and London as the Bowie estate launches the yearlong celebration "Bowie 75."
The Gotham shop is located at 150 Wooster St., steps away from Bowie’s longtime downtown New York City neighborhood; the London outlet appears at 14 Heddon St., where the cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars was shot.
The pop-ups will offer immersive audio and HD-video screening rooms featuring previously unseen behind-the-scenes material; Bowie apparel and collectibles, plus limited-run LPs and CDs from Warner and Sony; and fine art photography. Special events will be announced soon.
Today’s opening comes 75 days before the 75th anniversary of Bowie's birth.
