"WTF IS THAT?" NARDO WICK'S GOT NEXT

19-year-old newcomer Nardo Wick soared to the top of the streaming charts over the weekend with Friday's drop of the all-star remix of "Who Want Smoke??" f/Lil Durk, 21 Savage & G Herbo (RCA).

The original track, which is currently Top 20 at Urban radio, has sustained its viral presence since the video attracted hip-hop fans earlier this year, including Wick's future collaborators G Herbo and Lil Durk. Meanwhile, the stomp in the chorus, followed by Wick's simple hook, "WTF is that?" has become one of the most popular sounds on TikTok (300k+ clips).

On Friday, the digital ubiquity, heavyweight co-signs and hype culminated in a blockbuster accompanied by a Cole Bennett video, which trended #1 its opening weekend on YouTube. By Sunday the remix had hit #3 on Apple Music and #37 on Spotify—emerging as the top-performing debut on both platforms.
