Adele’s rollout continues in striking fashion as she simultaneously graces the covers of Vogue’s British and U.S. editions. Never before has someone been pictured on both iterations of the prestigious publication at the same time.
In the cover story, Adele discusses the massive life changes she's weathered since 2017, when she wrapped the world tour for 25 (which was interrupted when she injured her vocal cords). The international megastar, who divorced in 2019 and became fitness-obsessed on her way to losing 100 pounds, confides the challenges she's faced in being a single mother—her nine-year-old son provided inspiration for much of her new album's content.
“I was so fragile when I was writing it that I wanted to work only with a few people,” she said. Among the collaborators mentioned are Greg Kurstin, Max Martin, Shellback, Ludwig Göransson and Tobias Jesso Jr.
