PRO TIP: ASCAP PROVIDES TELEMED
TO MEMBERS

With the physical and mental health of artists during the pandemic still a serious concern, ASCAP is expanding its ASCAP Wellness Program, becoming the first U.S. PRO to offer telemedicine services to its members. Doc on the Go, which will be launched later this month, will give ASCAP members access to medical consultations with practitioners from virtual health-services provider Teladoc.

Music creators can sign up for a monthly or annual plan for themselves or family members via the Member Access portal. Discounted plans will be available for less than $10 per month.

“Our program with Doc on the Go is meeting a critical need,” said Nicholas Lehman, ASCAP Chief Strategy and Digital Officer. “Members have told us how important their physical health is to reaching their full creative potential. As we navigate the global pandemic, ASCAP is here with resources that can help our community be productive and thrive so our artists can keep on creating the music the world loves. But you will have to learn how to palpate yourself.”

Also, on 10/5-6, ASCAP will hold two more of its Experience Wellness Sessions, this time featuring a panel with Beginner’s Ear founder Corinna da Fonseca-Wollheim and violinist Tim Fain and another with Michael Franti of Spearhead and Hilary Gleason, executive director of mental-health nonprofit Backline, which will be moderated by Artist Activists Management partner and certified life coach Caitlin Stone.
