The Red Hot Chili Peppers have some news: They’ll be playing stadiums around the world beginning in June.
Live Nation will produce the tour, which will include a U.S. leg that starts in July; Eric Greenspan struck the deal. “All the tour dates, sales information, support acts and other factoids will be available shortly,” the CAA-repped band said.
Guitarist John Frusciante is back in the fold. He offered a few details about the tour in an interview with “newscasters” John Hammerswaddle (Anthony Kiedis) and Todd the Squirrel (Flea).
In a joint statement, the Guy Oseary-managed Peppers referred to themselves in the third person, insisting, “They have no interest in resting on past accolades, awards or commercial success. This is a mission. They intend to channel the most mighty spirits and give everything they’ve got.”
