Drake has denied Lil Nas X a U.K. Official Albums #1 as Certified Lover Boy (Island) moves back to the top. Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” (Atlantic) scores a second week at the singles summit.
Drake scored a narrow win, with Certified Lover Boy rebounding to #1 from #3 by leading on streams this week. Lil Nas’ MONTERO (RCA), which leads on downloads, finished just 500 units behind at #2.
The debut from rising British rapper Tion Wayne, Green With Envy (Atlantic), is new at #5, while Bob Dylan’s Springtime in New York–Bootleg 16 (Sony Music CG) opens at #6.
Genesis scores its first Top 10 in seven years with hits collection The Last Domino (UMC), at #9, and the self-released debut mixtape from Birmingham drill rapper M1llionz, Provisional License, starts at #10.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles chart, “Shivers” racked up 6.1m streams over the past seven days to remain at the apex. The track fended off strong competition from Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart” (EMI), which jumps two places to #2.
LNX’s Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow leaps six places to a new peak at #3, and his “THATS WHAT I WANT” is this week’s highest new entry, at #10.
Central Cee’s self-released “Obsessed With You” hits a new peak at #4, and Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” (Polydor) does the same, at #7. “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)” (Chocolate City Music) by Nigerian artist CKay zooms 14 places to #9 thanks to a series of international collaborations and remixes.
