POLYDOR'S MARCH TO LEAD BRITS

The BRIT Awards 2022 will take place at London’s O2 Arena on 2/8, with Polydor Co-President Tom March named Chair of the BRITs Committee for UMG U.K.’s third year at the helm.

March will be in charge of the creative direction of the show next year, stepping into the role filled by UMG U.K. EVP Selina Webb and EMI President Rebecca Allen for this year’s ceremony.

The 2022 iteration will put artists front and center while celebrating both British and international acts and their achievements over the past year. Organizers promise “a more innovative and interactive show than ever before.”

This year’s ceremony, which transpired on 5/11, heralding the return of live music in the U.K. following COVID-19 lockdowns, featured superstars Taylor Swift, Elton John, The Weeknd, Coldplay and Dua Lipa.

Once again, the event will be broadcast exclusively on ITV. A long-standing partnership with Mastercard will also continue. Further announcements will be made in the coming months.
