Live Nation Urban President Shawn Gee announced on Thursday that Mari Arionne Davies has been named Vice President of Booking & Talent.
“We are beyond excited to bring Mari over to head up our Festival Booking and Touring activities,” said Gee. “She is a rising star in the business, and we are fortunate to have her on the Live Nation Urban team.”
Based in Los Angeles, Davies will lead booking for LNU festival properties and touring brands and actively seek out partners to introduce a new generation of tours, festivals and activations. She has a background in social justice and has thus also been tapped to identify avenues for supporting underserved voices in the business.
Davies has facilitated the development and growth of rising stars A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Cordae, Kiana Ledé and Jacquees, among others. Her roster also included talent from Kelly Rowland to NBA star Matt Barnes to comedian/actor Hannibal Burress. She is likewise notable for having signed G Herbo, Yung Bleu, EST Gee, Fivio Foreign, Arin Ray and Nigerian superstar Davido.
