Warner Chappell Music has renewed its exclusive worldwide administration deal with a man by the name of William Patrick Corgan. Now you know Billy’s government handle.
The agreement covers Corgan’s catalog of music, including his work leading Smashing Pumpkins, and future material.
Warner Chappell Music Co-Chair/CEO Guy Moot and Co-Chair/COO Carianne Marshall said as one that the bald-headed leader of the Pumpkins “has always gone against the grain to create his distinctive and unique sound, adding, "His music is wildly captivating and consistently pushes the boundaries of what’s possible. We’re so excited to continue to partner with him and support his incredible work.”
Warner Chappell Music SVP of A&R Greg Sowders noted that Corgan’s “musical contributions in the early 1990s laid the groundwork for the explosive grunge era that followed, continuing, "Billy is an alternative-rock legend, and his wide-reaching influence has persevered for more than three decades. We look forward to collaborating on exciting new projects and Smashing Pumpkins releases.”
William Martin Joel, William Michael Albert Broad and William John Bertanzetti could not be reached to offer congratulations.
