Nigerian DJ/songwriter/producer Tems is the latest Apple Music Up Next artist. The campaign encompasses a short film that recalls her youth—she was raised by a single mother in Lagos—delves into her extreme shyness and depicts how she found her voice.
Also part of the Up Next promotion are a Jimmy Kimmel Live! performance on 9/29 and an interview with Apple Music 1’s Nadeska, in which Tems discussed the highlights of the last year, working with WizKid on the summer smash "Essence," its remix with Justin Bieber and her new music.
Tems capped off her breakthrough summer by scoring one of the year's highest-profile guest spots: a collab on Drake's Certified Lover Boy, "Fountains."
She dropped a new EP, If Orange Was a Place, on 9/15 courtesy of Since '93, revealing that she has officially signed with the RCA-affiliated label.
