U.K. CHARTS: DRAKE LANDS FOURTH #1

Drake has scored his fourth U.K. Official Albums #1 with Certified Lover Boy (Island) on 46k. Over on singles, Ed Sheeran was denied his chance at a double win.

Certified Lover Boy finished just 1.2k ahead of Iron Maiden’s Senjutsu (Parlophone), which settles for second place today. Drake’s sales total is made up by 96% on streaming; the 21 tracks racked up 70.4m streams.

Senjutsu was the biggest physical release of the week, which counted for 88% of sales. London rapper Little Simz claims her first Top 5 with Sometimes I Might Be Introvert (Age 101) at #4.

ABBA’s Gold (Polar Music) is up seven places to #5 following their comeback announcement, its highest position since August 2008.

Imagine Dragons’ Mercury — Act 1 (Interscope) bows at #7 and Newcastle band The Wildhearts are new at #9 with 21st Century Love Songs (Graphite) .

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” (Atlantic) has an 11th consecutive week at #1, scoring 8.4m streams this week.

Despite not making the top spot, Drake has three entries in the Top 5: “Girls Want Girls” f/Lil Baby at #2; “Fair Trade” f/Travis Scott at #3; and “Champagne Poetry” at #5.

ABBA earn their first Top 10 single in nearly 40 years today with “Don’t Shut Me Down” at #9, while their “I Still Have Faith In You” lands at #14.

Glass Animals’ viral hit “Heat Waves” (UMG) is up eight places to #10, and Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart (Pnau Remix”) (EMI)—the most downloaded song of the week—flies 12 places to land at #11.
