ACADEMY CHIEFS BOOKED AT MONDO.NYC

Recording Academy Co-Presidents Valeisha Butterfield Jones and Panos A. Panay will be the keynote speakers at the Mondo.NYC Music & Tech Law Symposium on 10/15.

Lawyer Adrian Perry, Partner and Co-Chair of Music Industry Practice at Covington & Burling LLP, will conduct the interview.

“What a fitting setting for Panos and I to discuss the increasing complexity and global nature of today's music business as we continue to usher in a new era at the Recording Academy, and address the ways that we can better serve our members, as well as the industry at large,” Butterfield Jones said.

Mondo.NYC runs 10/12-15 and will cover issues such as the future of financial rights, artist management, live music opportunities, and music supervision.

The agenda for the Music & Tech Law Symposium includes panels on streaming, international deal making, NFTs, song catalogs and litigation.
