RADIO DRAKE-OVER

Drake's Certified Lover Boy is driving an unprecedented radio takeover with Labor Day weekend upon us. No fewer than 10 songs from the Six God's new OVO/Republic set were played on Hot 97 on the morning of 9/3, while Power 106 is conducting a "Labor Drake Weekend," with a new song every hour for the holiday (and plenty of associated promos and interstitials). WGCI began playing nothing but CLB cuts at 6am of the set's release day. Power in NYC has proclaimed "Drake Day," with nothing but Drake for 24 hours and new songs at the top of every hour.

It's hard to remember a release that constituted quite the "event" that Certified Lover Boy represents at radio right now. Stay tuned for updates on this station.
