CHEWING ON BEST NEW ARTISTS: THE KID LAROI

We thought we'd break out our Grammy Chew consideration of top Best New Artist contenders into bite-sized servings. Next up: the artist behind one of the year's most unstoppably huge songs, The Kid LAROI.

Columbia’s Aussie teen comet has been ruling the roost with “Stay,” featuring Justin Bieber; the colossal cut has been handily out-streaming the competition for weeks on end. But this Kid is bigger than you think and on Spotify, “Stay” hasn’t even caught up to prior cut “Without You,” now past the half-billion mark. His ever-evolving F*CK LOVE album has also seen boffo chart action. Charismatic and emotionally direct, TKL is much more than the sum of his hits.

Check out our 12 contenders (so far) right here.
